This is Our Story.
Over 15 years ago, Angie's Cousin's first born son was diagnosed with Leukemia. It's hard to comprehend that this sweet little boy had to forego months and months of extensive chemo treatments and a bone marrow transplant at such a very young age, 4 years old. We cannot even begin to imagine how heart-wrenching it must have been for the whole family, especially the parents, Angie's dearest cousins. The doctors, nurses and staff at SickKids were remarkable throughout the whole process. Beginning from the extensive care he received to the parents community support groups in order to help their child and themselves cope with the hospitalization and treatments. Everyone at SickKids Hospital was dedicated to help the entire family.It is with heartfelt gratitude that we can say this little boy is now 19 years old, healthy and studying engineering at Waterloo University.
